In case the filter medium is compared to a building, the scrim is the pillar and beam of it. Ordinary scrim will age and lose strength and break finally, while PTFE scrim will not age and its strength will not decrease even under the joint influence of corrosive gases and high temperature due to its superior chemical properties, therefore it is the "muscles of steel and bones of iron" of filter medium.
